Gordon, Margery; and King, Marie B.
VERSE OF OUR DAY
An anthology of modern American and British Poetry. This was "modern" over seventy years ago, and includes Carl Sandberg, Walt Whitman, Joyce Kilmer and many others who are "olden times" to today's young readers. Published in 1924 by D. Appleton & Co., this is a small, hardcover book with no dustjacket, in surprisingly good condition for its age. The front cover is beginning to loosen, and the pages are yellowing at their edges, but the gold-embossed green cloth cover shows only a little wear at its corners and spine, and there's not a mark or a missing page in all of its 372 pages. Truly a gem for the poetry lover. 5.25"x8.25"
$9.95.  . Media Mail shipping $3.25.  (1164)
